Our last Sunday here in Mwanza, Tanzania I had the awesome privilege of preaching. I preached on John 4, John 8 and Luke 7, and focused on the women that Jesus loved and pursued.
I talked about how Jesus was always shocking people, and would go out of his way to show someone love. I felt like a completely new person up there preaching with God’s power and love. It was a beautiful day to end my time in Africa.
The Bebe’s came to church along with their granddaughter Adija that I was able to lead to the Lord the week before. She’s 20 years old and was a non practicing Muslim afraid to leave that religion for fear of rejection. I had the privilege of speaking truth to her about who she is and that Jesus is pursuing her. She gave her life to Christ and I saw a girl longing for a Father come home to her heavenly Father.

Barack (I will be posting his story video style tomorrow) and Eunice also came to church which was so cool and definitely made the day ridiculous!

The church day wouldn’t be complete without everyone dancing around, (I’m going to miss that). Some of the people at the church came to the front and corporately thanked us. The people know how to love and its so beautiful. My day wouldn’t be complete without holding an African baby and watching half the church dance for us.
I couldn’t help but be moved to tears at the end of the service, and so thankful to God for what He did in Tanzania. I ended spending most of the day with Barack (can’t wait to share his story with you) talking about the struggles of life and the freedom that Christ gives. He told me how he was really impacted while I preached. He understood the story of the woman caught in adultery and how no one could condemn her because they all had sinned too. We read our Bibles together and prayed for one another. As we were walking to night church, he told me he wanted to be like me and change people’s lives. He wants his family and friends to know the love he’s found in Christ. He wants to pray for people and see them get healed. This is my new spiritual brother and I love him so much. Please pray for him as he journeys with Jesus!! Joseph is going to be mentoring him and he’s getting connected with our pastors, yay!
I encountered Jesus in Tanzania and I will never forget this month on the race. Thank you God for allowing me to reap a harvest that is so plentiful!
