Hello Luxury!!!

Well I have made my way to Rwanda and all I can say is WOW.  From the moment we crossed the border from Uganda to Rwanda it was a noticeable change.  Kenya and Uganda don't take much pride in keeping trash picked up and as a result trash is everywhere and no one seems to care.
Rwanda is such a clean country.  It's called the country of a thousand hills, and I think I saw 500 green beautiful hills on our way in to Kigali (the capital).
Kigali is a legit city…with traffic laws!!!  Coming from Kampala, Uganda (there capital) Kigali is a 180 degree change.  Kampala is CRAZY!!  Taxi's, motorcycles, buses, cars and anything else that has wheels are all on the road and everyone is doing whatever they want.  The traffic is crazy and it’s all too common to be inches away from hitting another car, motorcycle or bicycle.

There was one point I was riding a motorcycle (3 people on one bike…that common…there was one point in Kenya where I think I saw 4-5 people on one motorcycle!!..if you include a baby) and I saw another motorcycle get into a minor accident from hitting a pot hole (these are EVERYWHERE  and they are HUGE).  Everyone was fine…that just part of travel in Uganda.  I don't say all of this to scare anyone but it is a huge change from America.  Overall I love the travel and the craziness of things.  But now that we are in Rwanda I realize how bad it was.  Rwanda is like a normal city…actually they are even more strict than many cities.  All motorcycles drivers and there passengers are required to wear helmets (and only two on a bike at a time)  It's been a dramatic change from what we have been experiencing thus far and its been quite refreshing.
We are staying in a 3 bedroom house and have working plumbing!!!!….most of the time.  The water pressure here is interesting…let’s just say I have learned to only clean one body part at a time to make sure that I get all the soap off…sometimes it just stops…for no good reason.   Hmmmm….oh well..at least we have a toilet.  Life has been real good here just outside of Kigali.  We are located right by the international airport so I have got it get used to hearing planes fly about 500 feet above our house  (in case you have never heard that you feel like you are in a war zone and you are expecting a bomb to drop at any time)…but hey…we are in a 3 bedroom house!!!….with plumbing!!!

I have my own room and it’s been nice (living the good life).  I got sick for my first time but it only lasted about 24 hours so I don't think that counts.  We had went into the city and got a hamburger but I don't think my body liked the African style hamburger…let’s just say I can almost through up just thinking about that burger now that it made me sick.  But I am feeling good again and am enjoying all the ministry opportunities we have been having here.  I will tell you more about that next time but I just wanted to shoot you a quick blog and say “Hi” here from Rwanda.
Please consider helping me reach my October 31st support raising deadline of $671..  Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!  God is doing great things, and I can't wait to tell you more about them.  Until next time.
