May is a BIG deal. No, seriously. It is huge. And it is my favorite month (It barely wins over the months when Pittsburgh sports begin!) Want to know why?
IT IS MY WIFE’S BIRTHDAY MONTH!
SHE IS TURNING THE BIG 2-5!
AND SHE IS GRADUATING THIS MONTH!!
For Ashley, birthday’s are her favorite. She loves celebrating people and their lives. It is something I love about her. Goodness, she even celebrates half birthdays! (Hers is November 16th and she never lets me forget it!)
This birthday is a milestone for Ashley. Not only is she turning 25, but she is graduating from college. She has worked really hard to get to this point. After attending nursing school for almost 2 years, she felt she wasn’t in the right major. So she made the decision to leave. She took 1 year off to decide what she wanted to do and during that time, her heart grew for human trafficking. So she re-enrolled at Liberty University online where she studied Psychology with a double minor of Criminal Justice and Church Ministry. Weird combination, I know. But each is important to what she wants to do in life!
I am so proud of her. She has worked hard, sacrificed countless hours of sleep & free time, and she has maintained all A’s (until this last semester! – but that’s ok babe, it was a tough class!)
Ashley’s birthday is May 16th and may(be) you can celebrate her this month too! In honor of her 25th birthday & graduation, I am asking you to consider donating $25 (or more) to our trip.

And what better year to start living out that desire than the year you turn 25. I am so blessed to be going through this journey with you and to see your hearts desires fulfilled. I love you and I am proud of you always. Happy graduation! And happy 25th! … you’re slowly catching up to me 🙂
PS – Anyone who Ashley knows about her duck, who is also turning 25 (and some shelf life) on May 16th. If you don’t know about the duck, he has been in Ashley’s life from birth. She can’t (and refuses) to let go… even though there isn’t much left to him. I guess this is my public “Happy Birthday” to the duck too. I guess I’ll love him on his birthday …
