Change. It is inevitable on the World Race. It happens all the time. In all shapes and forms. From changing countries, changing languages, changing time zones, and changing your underwear (hopefully daily). Change happens.
Growth wouldn’t happen if change didn’t occur.
So, let’s just get to it, WE HAVE CHANGED TEAMS!! This is something that happens throughout the 11 months on the race. It could happen 1 time or it could happen 6 times. Team changes are a good thing! The entire squad experienced a change of teams. Everyone was moved, shifted, and thrown into a new team. AND IT IS SO FUN! I (Ashley) love change and I hope I am not the only one who thinks that!
Let us introduce you to our new team: Relentless Pursuit
Left to Right: Billy, Ashley, Jessica, Caitlyn, Lupita, Lindsay, and Brooks
Caitlyn: our confident and fun team leader. She is a fellow-diva and has great fashion. But more than her outside beauty, she is stunning on the inside. She fiercely pursues Christ, she loves people deeply, and leads with a servants heart. We are so excited to learn from her and follow her leadership. Oh, and she happens to love stupid funny YouTube videos and the humor of The Office. She is pretty legit.
Jessica: again, a fellow diva who loves picking up lots of clothes on her journey. And she is the youngest of our group! She is such a blast to be around and exudes the joy of the Lord. When she speaks there is such power that comes from her spirit. And she speaks so much life into people that she gives the perfect morning “pep-talk.” She may be quiet, but once she starts talking, we are on the floor from belly-aching laughing! Also, she will need to be watched at all times because she often tends to trip on her own two feet!
Lindsay: THIS girl. She is awesome! She is super spunky and independent. And the best part is that she is CONFIDENT in who she is. She owns who she is and who God created her to be. She has deep wisdom and insight into the Kingdom and she LOVES speaking life into people. She is super chill and has a NBD (no big deal) attitude about her. Which reflects the peace of the Lord! We cannot wait to grow in those traits that she so naturally pours out! P.S. she loves karaoke, even though she never knows the words.
Lupita: our little fun size human! She may be small, but gosh is she mighty. She speaks and instantly grabs the attention of all who hear. And when she speaks, her words are full of wisdom directly from the Lord. She is a woman of great influence and disciples people well. We cannot wait to get to know her more and receive discipleship from her! Fun fact: she is an EXCELLENT artist! And can draw the best fake tattoos!
Brooks: A manly man with the beard, tattoos, and all. He passionately runs after God’s heart and it shows when he is leading worship. He is wise beyond his years, but definitely knows how to have a good time! He is our resident hippie and its apparent when you see him. He doesn’t care what anyone thinks of him because he walks in the FREEDOM of the Lord. You will probably see endless photos of him & Billy at a sports bar or on top of a mountain. Umm, and he is kind-of famous. He used to be a sponsored wake-boarder. (just google Vans National Championship: Brooks Driver. You’ll see.)

Not only are we excited to swap clothes, share in the passion of sports, and travel the world with these people, but more so we are excited to DO LIFE with them, to live in community, and to journey with the Lord as a family. Same house (meaning the squad) just new room-mates (meaning our new team!). We are expectant of GREAT things in this next season of our race.
