Often I wonder what my life will be like after The World Race.  How will I be different?  I think one of the biggest changes I forsee involves how I interact with “the least of these”.  My heart breaks at the sight of the orphan,

the homeless wandering the streets in search of food, warmth, and a place to call their own,

and the young children and teen girls trapped in a world of human trafficking and prostitution.

I believe I will no longer turn my head and pretend that these people don’t exist, or even worse, that I CHOOSE not to see them, not to recognize their pain and suffering.  INSTEAD, I will embrace them with love….take the chance, talk to them, try to share Jesus with them….give them things they need….like a meal or just the hope of knowing that a perfect stranger cares about them…and that, yes, they really do exist.  It is time we as a body of Christ, open our eyes to our surroundings.  It is high time we as a Body of Believers reach out in Jesus name to “the least of these”.
