Tonight I am
thankful. It never ceases to amaze me, whenever I feel as if I am about
to drown in a stormy sea of fear and doubt, the LORD shows up and makes HIS presence clear in my life!

I
went to my community group tonight (I absolutely LOVE them!) and the
presence of the Holy Spirit was definitely there! We discussed Psalm 5,
and once again, after reading the passage using several different
versions, we all picked out the phrase that jumped out to us. We do
this a lot, and have decided to write everything down, for it makes a
really neat poem every time! Well, tonight one guy was talking about
how he loved how The Message phrases one part of this psalm. It says, “Every morning I lay out the pieces of my life on Your altar, and watch for fire to descend.” He kept saying over and over, “I lay the pieces of my life on Your altar…

We
all seemed to get stuck on this phrase, and the power of the Holy
Spirit was just doing awesome things in each of our hearts. Before we
started our leader had us write 2 or 3 things on a card…things that
were our prayer for 2008….and he had us tear these cards up and we
laid them on the coffee table (around the communion bread and juice).
As we laid our torn pieces down, we said, “I lay the pieces of my life
on Your altar.” We then all just knelt around the coffee table for a
time of prayer and worship…followed by communion.

Thank you JESUS that you allow us to “lay the pieces of our lives on Your altar” Thank you SO much that you accept our brokenness as an offering of praise!
“When
the music fades, and all is stripped away and I simply come…longing
just to bring something that’s of worth, that will bless Your
heart….I’ll bring You more than a song, for a song in itself, is that
what You have required, You search much deeper within through the way
things appear, Your looking into MY heart…I’m coming back to the
heart of worship cause it’s all about you, it’s all about YOU JESUS, I’m sorry Lord for the thing I’ve made it, cause it’s all about YOU, it’s all about YOU, JESUS.

I wanted to share our “poem” with you all…inspired by Psalm 5:

Wait in expectation
Tell me clearly what to do,
which way to turn.
Make straight the way before me.
Give ear to my words, O, Lord,
Consider my sighing.
Make straight the way before me, shielded.
Give ear to my words, O, Lord,
Consider my sighing.
Listen to my cry for help my King and my God
You bless the righteous,
You surround them with favor as with a shield.

Wait in expectation.
Let their intrigues be their downfall
Make Your way straight before my face.
Let all who take refuge in You be glad.
Let those who love Your Name
May rejoice in You.
But let all who take refuge in You be glad.
Let them ever sing for joy.
Spread Your protection over them
That those who love Your Name may rejoice in You.
For surely, O, Lord
You bless the righteous.
You surround them with Your favor as with a shield.

Make straight Your way before me
Surround them with Your favor as with a shield.
Every morning I lay out the pieces of my life
on Your altar,
And watch for fire to descend.

P.S.
I
have been praying lately that when the dates for training camp were
revealed, then I would KNOW it was time to tell my boss I am leaving.
And well, that prayer has been answered, now I just have to face my
fear and tell them I am leaving and pray the LORD would protect me and
take care of the rest!
