Hello everyone! Just a few quick things:
1. We made it safe to Manila, we arrived on Sept 29th around noonish Philippine time. (12 hrs ahead).
2. Internet access is limited, so I will only be online about once a week.
3. The need here was evident from the moment our plane was landing. You could see the slums from the plane window. As we were taken by bus to where we are staying the poverty was everywhere. When we arrived at the guest home for KIDS, we were bombarded with a bunch of street kids eager to hug us! Our guest home is in what they call the Quatro community (will blog more on this later). (Basically, we have slums to one side, and not far in the other direction we have the richest of the rich.) Again, the need is already evident. The street children wait by the gate to our home for us to come out and play with them. God has literally placed countless opportunities for ministry right on our front doorstep!!! I will blog more in a few days…this is just a quick update…so be in prayer…God is here and has some awesome stuff in store here in the Quatro community of Manila.
