“Hearts on Fire
Strong Desire,
Rages deep within”
These words are from one of my all time favorite movies, Rocky 4. I love the training scene in this video, because it shows such sheer determination and willpower, and I realized that is how Im feeling right now. I launch for the World Race in 8 days, and I am determined to get there! I have trained, I have prepared, and now, Im ready to fight! Im ready to fight the battle that God has equipped me for. My armor is in place and fastened securely.
Ephesians 6:11-20
11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints
I feel as if Im Rocky and Im running up a ginormous mountain, straining with everything I have within me to reach the summit. I can feel it. I can taste it, my finger tips are reaching for that last stretch of ground that stands between me and the summit. Im so close to my goal. I need to raise 4860 to reach my goal of 13,800 and then I will be done support raising. Please donate whatever you can give to help me reach this goal! I aim to reach this goal before I launch in 8 days. I want to be able to focus 110% on ministry once on the field. Again, pray and seek the Lord, and ask Him what you can do.
