Hello! We are safe in Tanzania!  My team, now called The Remnant, is working in a village outside of the capital city, Dar Es Salaam.  We are teaching English and working with a church here.  Keep us in your prayers, the community is heavily Muslim, and there is a heavy weight of witchcraft being practiced here too.  Children are taught as early as 3 years old to be trained up in the ways of witchcraft.  The spiritual darkness over this village is heavy…but God is good, we are finding joy in the faces of the children, and we are enjoying the ministry!  Internet is limited as you have to take a bus 45 minutes into the city center where you then pay for internet, so I will only be on a few times this month.

As most of you know from my last blog, our teams have been changed around.  My new team name is The Remnant.  From left to right you have, Dennis Ho, Erin Winget, me, Jessica McVey, Carly Farver, Michelle McDonald, and Neil Bruinsma (the one we are holding.)  The change is different, and somewhat difficult, but we are learning quickly how to work with each other.  It is hard, but we are making it!  (picture courtesy of Neil Bruinsma.)

Continue to keep us in your prayers as we continue this journey!  It is hard to believe we are halfway through month 5!  Next month we head to India and probably wont have any contact, much like China.  Below I have posted a video of my 4 months with Dunamis courtesy of former teammate Sara Choe.  Please enjoy!  I love and miss everyone!
