He grants our desires.

Words couldn’t describe my excitement when I learned I was
coming back to San Pedro. What?!?! My Father really grants my desires! Yes He
does!

Last summer while I was here we shared Bible stories, sang
songs, and played games with the children. After being here a week, I felt
connected with the children. Saying goodbye was sad yet I knew that some day I
would be back…but I didn’t know when. So when I was asked by one of the girls
if I would be back I said yes. Her reply, “that’s what all the missionaries
say. But they never come back”. It was then that I purposed in my heart to come
back.

My sweet friend needed to know that she was important enough
to bring me back to see her, important enough to not be lied to but spoken with
the truth, and above all that she is loved.
So this past Sunday we met again. When our eyes met we didn’t know what
to say. Yet we both knew to do one thing…give each other the biggest hug!

I have learned one thing. My desires from a year ago are not
the same. They have changed. Actually, my heart has changed. It has learned to
beat with my Father’s heart. My desires are Father’s desires…He grants the
desires of my heart for they reflect His heart.
