A bit late but wanted to share….
A month ago Central America was left behind. The many great experiences have stretched me and helped me go deeper into my Father’s heart. Along the way I was surrounded by wonderful contacts and team.
I learned the abounding grace we are able to show to others
through the ministry Tony leads. He again and again shows grace to young boys
on the streets when they fail. He talks to them from a father’s heart and gives
words of correction in a loving way. When others would have stopped given these
boys opportunities he doesn’t. He gives grace.
I learned to walk with a great amount of faith that makes
one look like a fool at times through the life of Pastor Antonio. He has
believed God for the impossible. He has built a church when money was not in
sight. He even challenged his congregation to envision themselves in their new
church! HIs faith knows no limits.
I learned to walk with godly authority through Pastor
Eva. Her fighting spirit always has opened doors. Doors not even known were
existent. She began a ministry in which she united over twelve pastors from
different denominations to work alongside each other to reach the people of Niquinmo for Christ.
Month four in Romania has been a great learning experience.
It’s a month of newness. New continent. New language. New weather. New team.
New Experiences.
It took more than a days travel to arrive in Draganesti-Olt. Our journey to Romania began by taking a plane in Costa Rica
to New York.
We were scheduled to leave the following day
in the afternoon but our flight was delayed and left in the evening. This meant
that our connecting flight in Poland was going to be missed. We spent most of
the day at the airport in Poland. We finally boarded on a plane in the evening
and arrive in Romania a little after one in the morning the following day.
After getting our luggage we camped out at the airport for the night.
The
following morning we took a bus to a nearby town. After a couple of hours we boarded a train to bring us to Dragenesti.
After several days of traveling we arrived!
The house
we are staying in this month is referred to as the Mission House. It’s used to
house missionaries. This month my team, Chayil and another team, Depths of
Freedom are living here.
Here goes
the tour. It has a big kitchen in which both teams are able to cook and eat together.
This month we have a washer! No washing clothes by hand this month. We simply hang dry them…yay!
The
restrooms have two great things: flushing toilets and hot water. Bring on the hot showers this month!
Upstairs
are all the bedrooms. Rebecca, Brandi
and I share one room. While Joan, Whitney and Liz share another one.
Kenzie,
Hailey, Ana, and Rachel share a bedroom as well.
The
ministry we are working with this month is a fast paced. Pastor Raul Costea
leads it. His vision is to impact Olt County with God’s Kingdom.
Both
teams were divided into smaller teams. I worked in the Evangelism that is lead by George and Mircea.
We traveled
daily to different villages to share the Gospel. We prayed for people, passed out booklets, and shared the Good news.
Continue
to pray for the people of Olt county to turn to Christ as they experience the
unconditional and pure love of our Father.
