The next day we were told to partner up with a fellow squad member and share a backpack because we were going camping!
Our entire squad hiked up a trail and we camped out by a lake. It was my first time actually camping! It was really nice. I swam in the lake, had a hole to use the bathroom in (which I didn’t do), and had my sleeping bag right on the ground with no tent, or tarp, at the full exposure for every creepy crawly creature to snuggle in my sleeping bag with me. But I also was able to look up and see all the God-made diamonds in the sky…beautiful.
We sat around the fire, ate these amazing banana/marshmallow/ choc. chip boats, bonded as a squad, and sang to God for about two hours, under the stars.
And here we are… the entire P squad..all 74 of us..
My new family for the next 11 months, starting July 5th..
We are a bunch of crazies.. seriously.. and I love it..
