Off I went on May 22nd to meet 76 strangers..
The majority of us met at the Atlanta airport. As we filed in the atrium waiting area, we each talked, shared, and drew self portrait pictures. (mine was an artistically genius pic of a stick figure leaning on a piece of furniture, yet a fellow squad mate said it looked like I was in a wheelchair..)
So us 76 crazies are named the P-Squad… yes.. the P- Squad…
We all boarded the hottest bus known to planet earth, then we drove down to our retreat center.
When we got there, the ladies had a choice of staying in a cabin or tenting it.. Me being a hardcore city girl.. decided to TENT IT! (You know how I’m all or nothing..) Hmm… that was interesting to say the least. My P- Squad sisters helped me pitch that bad boy and I was set.
The first night sleeping inside my tent was terrifying to say the least. I felt a bit claustrophobic, and I could hear the flapping of the only God knows how large insect’s wings on the outside of my tent. I was telling God.. if this is something you want me to do.. you have GOT to help me with this intense bug fear!
I eventually fell asleep and woke up to a bright sunny Sunday hotlanta morning…little did I know that the wrecking was about to begin…
