Wanna know a random fun fact about me?
I taught myself balloon animals in middle school and was even a clown for a couple of birthday parties while growing up.
I used to spend hours sitting in front of my parent’s TV in the basement watching my VHS tape about how to make balloon animals.
I then continued to spend hours browsing and practicing how to make balloon animals from all of the books that I could get my hands on from the public library.
Now, it’s easily been pushing 10-12 years since I last made balloon animals… well until this last Tuesday.
You see, my group went to what is called the Matthew 25 Men’s House, which is a nursing home of sorts for men.
On this day specifically we decided to tell them about the armor of God as well as Noah’s ark.
So we decided to create balloon “armor” for the men—swords, helmets, and shields—as well as each of them an animal for the Noah’s ark story.
It was by far the most fun I have had this entire month!
Here are some photos from the day!
These first two pictures were of “practice” balloons from before we went to the Matthew 25 house–so I gave them to the kids hanging outside our house!
