Wow, sometimes I can’t even imagine how good God is and how well He knows His children!

He knew I was aching for a taste of home, and boy did He provide!

Every Saturday and Sunday there are league soccer games that happen here in Mokhotlong, so Erica and I decided to go watch the games on Saturday because we both were itching for some soccer. And honestly, I had a blast watching it, and critiquing it. It was also cool because there is an American missionary family that has virtually adopted all of us racers and the husband is a referee and has that be part of his ministry, which I think is absolutely amazing.

And then on Sunday, I told the missionary kids that I would take them to the soccer field so we could play a bit; however, there was a game going on when we got there so we watched the game and played around on the side.

But then afterwards, is where God really filled my cup and provided for me more than I could have ever even imagined.

I was able to go out to the field and play with the local kids after the game! Honestly, hearing it I know it doesn’t sound that awesome; but to me, that was wonderful—I couldn’t get enough of it. It reminded me so much of coaching (for which I miss my kiddos terribly) as well as going to games when I was little and playing on the field with my brother after each game. I loved it so much.

God gave me exactly what I needed to be able to pour out to others for the rest of this upcoming week and I am so thankful for that. God knew that I needed a little taste of home and some encouragement and He gave me exactly that!

And bonus points, we are trying to find a night this week that we can set up a pick-up game so we can play again!

P.S. The dog in the picture is Ruby and is an absolute angel! She is everything I want in a dog.
