Hello, we made it to Haiti!
And oh boy is it hot here; although, to be honest, it kind of reminds me of summer back home, at least in the late summer when it is the hottest—high eighties, over eighty percent humidity, and no air conditioning. In fact, we only have electricity in the evenings here, which is nice because we at least get to run fans during the night.
Although, all in all, we are extremely blessed here, we are working with an American organization called Supply And Multiply, based off of the verse in 2 Corinthians that says, “He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will SUPPLY and MULTIPLY your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness,” and we have amazing views of some of the most beautiful ocean and trees that I have seen.
In fact, every time I look up from a hammock while resting within the area that we are living, I look in wonder at the beauty that God has placed above me.
So, I am beyond excited to be here and I am expectant for God to show up in some big ways!
I get wifi on Sundays, so expect to here from me again in a week.
I cannot believe that it is already month 10, God has shown up in each country so far and I cannot wait to see Him show up again.
Love, Bethany
