I have fallen in love with this country!!
The people, the land, the desire,
the needs, and the love for Christ in the midst of idols has taken part of my
heart.

We have been so blessed this month by an amazing contact named Reuben Rai.
He has a fast growing ministry and has such a heart for his people. The Lord is
using Reuben in all parts of Nepal. His ministries have started 16 churches and
planning to build another very soon. Other ministries of his are:
– teaching a Bible college to new believers
– starting a school in the moutains where the kids have no school closer
than 3 hrs away
– Sports ministry- Church Boys United
– Church planting
– Evangelism
– Clothes Distribution
– Bible and Track Distribution
– Translating Christian Books
– His wife is starting a ministry for widows and single mothers
Reuben and his wife, Rita have such a passion for seeing God’s kingdom
expand in Nepal and the world. They have 2 amazing kids, Roseanne and Rauel.
This family has become like a family to me. I am so thankful for what they have
blessed me with and look forward to seeing how the Kingdom of God continues to
grow because of them.

Our incredible month started in Kathmandu, the capitol of Nepal. The first
day we met Reuben at the semi-final game for the Church Boys United. This is
Reuben’s sports ministry. As many of you know soccer is the main sport around
the world so using soccer to share God’s love is a perfect place. Reuben
started this team over 2 years ago, wanting to share the Good News of Jesus
while playing soccer. The whole team was entirely Buddhist or Hindu, but
because of this ministry there are now 5 players who have accepting Christ and
are now Christians. Most of the team is now coming to church and very
interested in Jesus. All of the team members love and highly respect Reuben and
it has given Reuben the chance to share how Jesus has changed his life. The
Lord is using Reuben to show the team what it means to live like a Christian
and to show the truth of God’s word.
The Church Boys United play all over Nepal. They host tournaments and get
teams from all parts to come and play against one another. Their biggest
tournament has brought over 17,000 people to watch. After each game Reuben is
able to share the Gospel to all the fans!! In one tournament alone 17,000 got
to hear the Good News of Jesus in a country that has only worships idols for
centuries! Its amazing!! The Lord is using this ministry to reach numbers in 1
day that would take years to tell. They are planning to host another major
tournament in June and the goal is to have over 25,000 people!! Pray for even
more:)
We were able to go to the last 2 games of the Church Boys season.
Unfortunately they lost in the Semi-final game, but they have a incredible team
and it was wonderful to pray over them and encourage the few believers on the
team. These young men are the next generation of Fathers, Husbands, Business
men, and I believe Preachers:) Their lives are being changed by the love of
Jesus that Reuben has shown them.
And that is only 1 ministry he has:)
After Kathmandu and Church Boys we left for the plains of Eastern
Nepal…where the adventures began:)
