We have been in Honduras a week now and have done some type of ministry everyday! Our ministry has looked like church services, visiting church family around the village, and small groups. The biggest thing I have learned in this first week at Zoe Church Honduras is the members of the church are a family, in every sense of the word. We have been inducted into this family. ITS ONLY BEEN A WEEK. Nevertheless, the people in this church have hugged us(every time they see us), they have prayed over us, they have fed us, they serve alongside us and they show God’s love to us in new ways. Our ministry has been lots of food, coffee and sweet snacks. Our food has mostly been rice, beans and eggs. We have had some chicken and beef also. It has been the BEST food. We have had homemade tortillas, strawberries with condensed milk and tons of Pepsi!
Along with that, they lead this community in a radical way. Their church services are loud and they leave the church door open during service so anyone can come in! The pastor and his family have been so giving. They give of their time, energy and food to make sure we are taken care of.
it definitely has not been a vacation, by any means. It has not been easy either. Life on the Race is an adjustment for sure. God is doing beautiful things through this experience already. If you want to help me continue on this journey, please consider donating! I need around $1,100 more to reach $10,000 and i need that by the end of January! We don’t have much access to WiFi this month so I will be updating as I can!
