I learned so many things at Training Camp! Practical things AND spiritual things. This blog is going to be about the spiritual side of things. So let’s get started…
One of the biggest things I learned is that God is trustworthy. I can trust Him with my future and with my present. He confirmed over and over to me in those 10 days that He is in control. He gave me a deeper understanding of His love for me and for the people around me.
I have a deeper realization of who I am in Christ. It’s one thing for people to tell you that you are beautiful, but it is a totally different experience for God to imprint that on your heart.
God also taught me that He fights for me. I do not need to fight for myself, I only need to turn to God when I feel the need to fight. The war has already been won right?
“You will win more spiritual battles engaging God, than you will engaging the enemy.”
-A quote from one of our speakers at Training Camp
I’ve learned to position myself in God’s presence and to abide in Him daily. He taught me more of what it means to abide. I experienced what a true Sabbath is, and for anyone that knows me, knows that I don’t really take Sabbath days often. But I learned that its more than a day off to relax. Sabbath is more about resting in God’s presence with no agenda than it is about a day off.
I saw healing which is something I’ve never witnessed before! It was mind-blowing! I saw people who had physically evident problems be healed in a matter of minutes. It was truly an incredible experience.
Training Camp was such a life changing experience that made me so excited for what God is going to do over the next year! I already miss Training Camp because of the people I got to be surrounded by, I can’t wait to spend the next year with them!
God bless,
Bethany Carter
