Month one of the World Race has come to a close! The last few days I've been reading The Ragamuffin Gospel, by Brennan Manning. Here's one of my favorite quotes so far…

"Jesus comes not for the super-spiritual but for the wobbly and the weak-kneed who know they don't have it all together, and who are not too proud to accept the handout of amazing grace."

Grace is something I've been learning a lot about this month. I am so thankful for God's grace in my own life, and I am trying, day by day, to extend grace to my teammates, contacts and the people we meet. I want to be a grace-giver. Someone who is patient and loving and flexible and sees the good in everyone.

Overall we've had a wonderful month here in El Salvador! We were blessed with kind and funny contacts who took good care of us and met many wonderful people. We had nice accommodations, plenty of rest and free time, and an opportunity to grow as team as we learn how to live in true community.

Tonight our pastor Oscar, his wife Jacky and all of the youth from the church we've been working with all month threw a big BBQ for us to say goodbye. I am going to miss them! Crazy how close you can grow to people in just one month.

We leave early tomorrow morning for Honduras. Not sure about our Internet situation but hope to update you soon! Thanks again to all of my supporters. I wouldn't be here without you!
