While Nigeria has been way better than expected and the people are nothing like what we were warned about, there are still so much that has been going on this month.

First, I’d like to introduce you to my new team! Our last debrief changed a lot of things up and we all have a new family. While it was sad to leave Rhema, God has huge things for my new team and it is exciting to watch. So, there’s me…the team leader:

 Andy…
the only Rhema teammate that stayed with me:
  Will…
my brother from another mother:

Christina…
she’s like a sister and I just love her:

 Janna, also known as Jenny…
a hidden gem:
And Haley…
our southern belle who makes everything more fun:

And as for this month, God is breaking us of so many things. I never thought I would dread going to sleep because of the heat and the sweat that constantly covers my body. I never thought I’d have to see so many cockroaches and spiders. I never thought I’d come up against so much religion and tradition. I never thought that I had taken water, electricity, or internet for granted. Africa has definitely gone outside of my expectations. But in all of it, God is teaching me about another level of sacrifice. And I do not want to leave the process he has me in until He says that I am ready. I know that his timing and purposes are perfect and so even though I am miserable at times and the pressure of everything around me seems unbearable, it will produce such character and growth in me that can only happen this way, in this time.
So I trust God. He will be my strength and my song.
As they say in Africa:
“PRAISE GOD!”
And you have to respond by saying:
“HALLELUJAH!”
*Repeat about 60 times to be really African*

 Now presenting….Team EZRA!
