So I have been in the Dominican for a little more than three weeks and have been in 5 cities so far.  We arrived in Santo Domingo where the squad launched and got somewhat used to their new surroundings before ministry.  On their ‘adventure day’ we went to the beach and it was so much fun.

Like I said in a previous blog, I started out ministry with Team POP in the mountains.  The town we stayed in was called Los Montacitos and it was breath-taking!

One day was walked to a nearby city called Los Frios.  It was even higher elevation than Los Montacitos and again had an incredible view!

After about a week I left this team to stay with another team in a city about an hour down the mountain called Arroyo Cano.  It was a beautiful town a little bit bigger than Los Montacitos and I had a lot of fun with the team there.  This picture below is overlooking the city from a nearby hill we climbed to make lunch and play dominos with some of the Dominicans at the church.

Now I am currently in San Juan, which is a bigger (more normal sized) city.  I have been here for about a week and will be traveling back to Santo Domingo on Monday.  It has been such an incredibly journey for me to visit teams, jump into random ministry and now live in a house with 4 teams (about 30 racers!).  There have been challanging moments and there have been indescribable moments.  It is the least to say that I am over joyed to be here in this time and this place.  It is a blessing and a huge life experience for me.  Thank you to all of you who have been praying for me and supporting me.  You are always in my prayers!
