Back in February, I was in Ecuador and a young man gave me a word that he felt God had revealed to him. He said that my life causes a ripple effect and that every life that I touched would touch someone else and so on into eternity.
It made me feel small and humbled as I thought of how and why the Lord would choose to use me to create such movement and such influence.
In a couple weeks, I will be turning 25 years old. And when I think of the things that the Lord has allowed me to see and accomplish in only a quarter of a century, it made me so grateful…grateful that the Lord could use every relationship in my life to really change the world.
Now that I look back…even over the last 9 months I can see this ripple effect happening. And I am not able to touch people’s lives on my own. But it’s actually because YOU have sacrificed money, time, and prayers to support every crazy step of faith and every major life decision that didn’t really match up with our American idea of comfortable living.
For every support letter and phone call. For every blog or email asking for money. For every facebook status praying for anonymous donations.
for every prayer begging God to let me make my own money–so I wouldn’t bother you. for every thank you card that couldn’t possibly express my full gratitude.
for every disappointing conversation about not moving back to Tucson, AZ.
And for every provision. for that anonymous $2,000. for bath mats and bed skirts! (if I haven’t shared that story with you-email me..it’s a good one!) for beautiful friendships and life-long partnerships.
for seeing the kingdom come, on earth as it is in heaven! for FREEDOM.
