….and this journey has finally led me home……
To those of you that have read my blogs, liked my posts, donated financially, fought for me in prayer, sent me messages, believed in me, or followed my journey from afar….. I want to say Thank You. When I was still on the field, and my race was starting to come to an end, I was trying to process the overwhelming emotions I felt towards the army that has fought for me this past year. When I really start to think about it, I get emotional and completely overwhelmed. It’s an emotion that's impossible to express.
The past 11 months I’ve had an umbrella of constant support and prayers. I’ve had an army from across the nation fighting for me and that's a thought and a feeling I’ll cherish forever. It’s been a support that radically impacted my race. I have sincerely appreciated every single gesture of support more than you will ever know. Because of you, my family has grown immensely. I now have family in 11 more countries, and because of the power of the great God that we serve, I’m overjoyed that we are ALL apart of that same family.
My prayer is that this journey has not only radically and forever changed me, but it has been a testimony and a game changer for you and the way The Lord so eagerly wants to work in your life. My prayer is that if you haven't already, that you can say 'yes' to him and the call he has on your life. My prayer is that while you've followed my journey, that God has been able to speak to you in the most intimate way possible. My prayer is that you have seen the depths in which your Father so passionately loves you and desires to be in your life. My prayer is that through my journey, you've seen what saying "yes" to God can do to a life that used to be so lost and so broken. My final prayer is that in my journey you have not seen me…… but you've seen HIM. God is so good and so real my friends. Seek Him. Knock. The door will be opened for you.
I will look forward to the day when I can hug you all individually and sit down and share a cup of coffee. Until then, please know that I'm now fighting for all of you. I'm fighting for the ones that so boldly and passionately fought for me this year. I could feel your love from across the oceans in my lowest moments, and I could feel your 'high fives' and celebration in my joyous moments. You, individually, are so loved and so cherished.
It's been an absolute honor to walk this road with each and every one of you, and I thank you from the deepest, most sincere part of my heart.
Grace and Peace,
Bethany
