I remember my first ballet class. As an active child, anytime music was played or a rhythm was set, my body wanted nothing more than to dance along. As I’ve gotten older I have seen that because of dance I have discipline, work-ethic, focus, imagination…it has expanded my ability to listen and ask questions more clearly, dream beyond my initial thought…the creative arts has taken what was in my head as a child and expanded my mind to something I never thought possible. Do you remember the first time someone believed in you? Told you that you could do ANYTHING?
Although I know there are many who do without around us, this is something readily available to us in many capacities here in The United States. In many places across the world…this is something kids only imagine.
What would happen if we could provide a space for children to imagine? To creatively explore their talents?
Firefleyes began because two girls believe this is possible. Bethany and Regina came together at a crossroads in their ministries to discover they both believe in the power of the creative arts and sports.
Today we would like to announce that we are seeking to raise money for our first Creation Nation BUILDING!
El Shaddai Ministries operates a Children’s Home in Swaziland in the South of Africa. In 2014 Bethany traveled on The World Race and encountered relationships she knew could be touched by Firefleyes and our mission.
Today we are launching a project to build a building for El Shaddai’s children to explore their talents through the creative arts and sports. An exploration that provides children the ability to dream, imagine and create. As you will hear in our video it is proven by many, and the children of El Shaddai, that sports, dance and the creative arts allow children to learn discipline, focus, and an outlet to see beyond the world they currently live in.
We hope you will partner with us in our initiative to light the fire in the hearts of these children. To encourage them that what they have in front of them is not the end…there’s more…much more…and they have the ability to mold and shape what that looks like. They have the power to dream. To build. To create.
Help us to DREAM. Help us to raise $50,000 to build a Creative Arts and Sports Building. Creation Nation will have a Dance Room, Music Station, Arts Station, Reading Station and Sports Station. They will each be fully stocked with musical instruments, music books, dress up clothes, dance mirrors, dance barres, dress up clothes, arts and crafts supplies, books, book shelves and more. Your money will be tax deductible and go towards supplies, administration and the actual building itself.

When I was a two year old I remember wearing a light blue tutu. My mother had to pry it off my body at night to wash it because I would inevitably put it on the next day. Before I was even taught…I loved to dance…if I had not been encouraged…where would my talents have gone?
Bethany knew as a small child she wanted to help those in underdeveloped countries…if her dreams had not been encouraged where would her talents have gone?
We have a mission…to show children that the circumstances around them matter not…we ALL have the ability to create despite the conditions around us.
