Well 26.5 hours after we left Nairobi, Ryan, Amy and I made it to Kigali, Rwanda. The ride was shorter than expected, even with a few delays. At one point in Kenya the bus stopped and wouldn’t start again. The driver finally got the engine to start, but it wouldn’t move faster than a crawl. So for about an hour we creeped along the Kenyan highway at 10kph. The border to Uganda was also fun for us. After the hassle for expensive visas, we waited in Uganda for the bus to cross the border. After about an hour, out driver found us and told us another bus was being sent to pick us up since ours couldn’t be fixed. We walked back over the border and waited in Kenya for 2 hours. Finally, around 9pm we made it into Uganda and continued our journey.

Our month of ministry is not much different from Kenya. We are working with a church, doing evangelism door to door and at hospitals, preaching, giving words of encouragement, and some manual labor. Our pastor, Pastor Rose, is a great lady with a vibrant personality. Please be praying for us as we start this 6th month of ministry.

Much love
