No,
I’m not pregnant, but I did have an ultrasound the other day. After
more than a week of fun stomach issues and not being fully involved
in teamness, I decided to go to a doctor in Ipoh. Fun times, let me
tell you. After trying describe how I’ve been feeling, he gave me an
ultrasound to check the health of my insides. Good news, my liver,
kidney and all that are healthy. Not so good news, no idea what was
wrong with me. Oh well, I am doing better now!
I’m
going to try to fill you in on some of my team’s life here in Malaysia.
In Ipoh, we have been living and working with some really great
people. Our house is filled with, laughter, singing and great
conversations (CRIBS video coming soon:). Two to three times a week,
I, along with Silas and Katie, have been teaching in a school for
children ineligible for the national school. These 12 kids have been
a joy to work with. Each day is a little different, but along the
way we have taught animals, the family tree, numbers, and a few
phrases/questions. Last Tuesday was our last day with them; that
afternoon we played at the park for a couple of hours in the rain.
With Chandler, I have helped three migrant workers with their
pronunciation of words and conversations in English. The English
classes were so much fun and made me realize even more how confusing
our language is. Some of my favorite moments from these teaching
experiences are when you can see pieces start to click for a student.
My team has also shared in a couple different schools, church
services, Sunday schools, youth groups and Bible studies.
On our
day off last week, we took a day trip to the Cameron Highlands. My
favorite part of the trip was the weather and the landscape. It is
much cooler in the highlands, so I had a little glimpse of the fall I
am missing in the states. The area is filled with tree plantations,
which are such beautiful part of creation.

Well I
think this is enough rambling for now.
