After three
days of traveling from Africa to ministry location in India, we have started
our 8th month of ministry.
We each left our homes in Uganda last Monday morning and hung out as a
squad at the Entebbe airport.  Two
flights later, we had a four hour layover in the Dubai airport, starting around
midnight; yeah for my first Starbucks in three months!  Around 9 Tuesday morning we arrived in
the New Dehli airport.  My team
spent that afternoon and night at a hostel and returned early the next morning
to fly to location.  Just after
noon on Wednesday the five of us arrived at the Varanassi airport, then had a 3
or 4  hour drive to location.

This month we
are in Sikaria, in the state of Bihar.
We are working with a ministry called GEMS (Gospel Echoing Missionary
Society).  I can’t do this ministry
justice trying to describe how big it is and all they are involved with.  We live in their compound, which is
basically its own town in the middle of nowhere.  GEMS has multiple schools here, and a few in other
locations, a hospital, different colleges, tailors, hostels, a church,
children’s homes in various locations, and polio centers.

Our main focus
this month will be painting murals in a school.  We started working in the school yesterday.  The boys, along with our three new
German friends, are tackling a picture of Noah’s ark on a large wall.  Chandler, Sandy and I are working on a
Moses themed wall; the World Race team that was here last month did a picture
of Moses parting the Red Sea, so we are finishing up that wall.  We are still finalizing plans for the
other classroom.  Don’t worry, I’ll
make sure to post pictures when we are all done!

much love!
