Two
weeks after leaving Bucharest for ministry in Timisoara, I thought you might
like to know what we are up to this month in Romania.

Last week we ran a children’s program at Potter’s House from about 10 in the morning until 6-6:30 pm.  We taught Bible, lead games, missionary story, craft time and other tasks throughout the day.  My main contribution was coming up with and executing crafts for the children.  I think my mom, the ultimate craft lady, would be proud if she saw the kids and their crafts.

This week we have been hanging out with special needs children; we took a walk with some of the younger ones on Monday and Tuesday we took some of the older ones to the zoo.

We will be helping to set up a camp the end of this week; and next week we will be hanging out with the kids again and doing some cleaning around here.

But a huge highlight for this month has been spending time with some Americans.  We have been to 2 cookouts, had tacos salad a couple of times and spent the weekend with Dawn and Karen at the house they were watching; it felt like a resort to us, we each had our own room, freedom to do anything and they spoiled us with food.  Reading this, me saying that we at taco salad probably means nothing to you; for us, we were excited to have “normal” food, so excited in fact, that Samantha may have cried the first time we heard the menu:)

It’s weird to think that we could eat taco salad time we want in a matter of a couple of weeks.  This World Race lifestyle is not going to be our life forever, like it seemed a few months ago.
