On
Tuesday, I will have been in the Philippines for a week. It’s hard
for me to think of what I want to say about my experience so far.

Well
this past week has been something called launch. It is a time for us
to adjust a little into what we are about to experience, reconnect
with our teams and have a couple more lessons with staff members.
We went to Daranak Falls on Wednesday; it was so beautiful. God
really has such creativity.

We
have been staying at a ministry site in Manila, it has been really
nice here and the food has been great (trying not to get used to
that:) But when we walk out of the gates there is a different world.
This area is really poor, but there are so many smiles. The kids,
with such great joy, make me so happy.

I
think this week has been one I won’t soon forget. Even though we
weren’t exactly doing mission work, this was my first time being in a
third world country; seeing first hand the vast contrast between
poverty and money.

Tomorrow
morning my team and team Hepzebah are leaving for ministry together
in Puerto Galera in Mindro, Philippines. We will be working with
Threads of Hope, the organization I was selling those bracelets
through. We don’t have a lot of details on what we will be doing or
what our location is exactly like. So fair warning, I may not have
much internet access.

Side
note: I had my first squatty potty experience today. Not really a
fan. Oh and it’s a little weird when people wait outside of
individual stalls instead of forming one line.

Much
Love!
