The Lord answered our prays for Ice to come and she finally came to visit SHE (the Christian organization that provides girls with a job so they don’t have to work in the bars any longer).
The first day she came, we ate lunch, we painted, she got to meet all the Thai girls that worked for SHE, and she learned about the jobs and opportunities for work at SHE.
At first she wasn’t very open but as we were painting and were taking pictures, she started asking questions like: “So if I wanted to live here, I could?” or “Would I be able to bring my son to live with me too?”
Questions that showed us her mind was spinning and that she had a desire to be there. It was amazing to see! Before she left on her motorbike that day she asked me if she could come back anytime she wanted:) I told her absolutely and that she was always welcome! She left with a smile!
After that first visit, my teammates and I kept praying, we felt like she was so close to leaving the bars and that this was a huge battle for her life. Each night we went out, we continued to visit her bar and build a relationship with her. Showing her love, laughing with her, and inviting her to come over again and visit us, each time we asked her to leave with us right then and come, she never did but we prayed that she would…
Christmas Eve our squad had plans to make cookies and minister to the community around our home and wish people a “Merry Christmas.” We invited Ice to join us that night and we kept praying.
Praise God she came that day!!  a day that I will never forget! It was a miracle to be honest!  She came, helped us cook, and prepare for Christmas day, then we spent time talking with the Thai girls from SHE, helping her again see the opportunties she could get at SHE and praying she would desire to move in and work there.
We asked Ice if she wanted to come live and work at SHE…she said she did, but was nervous because of money…we spent 20 mins talking with her about money and telling her we would help so that she could move in that day…and she finally said YES!!
She said that she needed a few week but Jan she promised to leave her bar and work at SHE! God is amazing!!!
That day she spoke with the missionaries from SHE about a job and finances, they answered all her questions and were overjoyed at her decision!
Christmas Eve was a day I saw the hand of God move!
She ended up staying as we took cookies to the neighbors, she ended up being the one holding to cookie tray and going to the homes saying Merry Christmas!! She was laughing and joking, she had a joy about her that was never there while she worked in the bar.

The following day she joined us for Christmas and was there as we worshipped and praised our amazing God! It was the best Christmas gift I had ever received…a child of God becoming free!
I praise God because I believe without a doubt that one day Ice will know Jesus, that she will raise her son to know Jesus and that her generation will be changed for Christ because of her life!
Please continue to pray for the chains/stronghold of the bar to be broken from her life and that they Lord would provide all her needs as she steps out and moves into SHE. I can’t wait for the day I will blog about her starting work at SHE 🙂 that will be a day the heavens are rejoicing!
