So this month has been interesting as an all squad month! We are in Trujillo, Peru working with Savage Ministries. We have 45 people living in school compound that is under construction. Thankfully we have a shower and the average temp is around 65 during the day as showers are much warmer than they had been. We also got bunk beds last week! This month we have been taking turns with cooking and chores on a weekly basis by team. So far my team has been on trash duty and bathroom patrol! We are also rotating ministry by team. The squad has about 6 church services that we are in charge of on a weekly basis, 5 days a week we help with a preschool for about 13 adorable kids, we are assisting with about 2 children’s programs a week, painting the school, reaching out to the community we are living in through door to door ministry, playing soccer with the kids, prayer walks, and just making friends! It has been an adjustment this month feeling like a celebrity as seemingly everywhere we go someone takes our picture. Most little kids smile and wave, saying “¡Hola!” Well, there’s a snap shot of life in Peru this month!
