TRAINING CAMP
…this week, the week of training camp, was one of the best and hardest that I have experienced. It was a week of stretching, testing, blessing, challenge, molding, revelation, impartation, and examination. With that said, I would add, I believe that salvation is the only truly GOOD thing worth having that can be had with no effort on our part. Therefore, my premise is, “If it’s easy, it’s not worth having.”
Here are some highlights from the week:
- Sweet times of worshipping the King of Kings with precious brothers and sisters in the Lord
- My preconceived ideas were challenged as to what a woman truly is in the eyes of the Lord (they are not catty, gossips looking for drama; they are encouragers, proclaimers of truth, motivators, & anchors)
- Sweet reassurances from the Lord that this is were He has called me to be at this time in my life
- Team building experiences that showed the depth of character of folks in my squad (thanks y’all, you bless me!)
- Sound biblical teaching that encouraged me not to take man’s word for what God is saying in the bible, but to study to show myself approved
- Glimpses of what alone time on the field looks like (if you can’t hear or see people, you are alone, a.k.a. ear buds and turn your back 🙂
- Practice ministering by ministering to those on our team (where the rubber meets the road)
- Words of encouragement, the World Race Staff took time to minister in any way they could to the Racers through out the week (thanks for that y’all!)
- Feedback (how to point others to areas of weakness or immaturity in their lives and encourage them to grow in a respectful and loving way, as well as how to properly respond to “Feedback” when you are on the receiving end 🙂
- Insecurities confronted (that I didn’t know I had, like thinking I should be good at everything, and feeling I am worthless when I realize that I am not good at something in particular, instead of supporting those that are good at it, so the team can function well)
I am so thankful for this week of training camp; it brought such a rich harvest of fruit and growth began in my life.
