God taught me something today.
I was worried about raising money. Constantly checking my support tab.
And yet again being disappointed.
I began looking up Bible verses on God's provision.
One that came up was:
Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

I have read this Bible verse and heard it so many times. But for some reason it stood out to me.
What does this verse really mean?
And what is the things that will be added too?
I started contemplating the meaning and looked up the rest of the chapter. The verses surrounding this one talk about worrying and God's provision.
So I asked myself.
What does it mean for me to be seeking Gods kingdom.
Not only that but what does it mean to seek his kingdom First?
God started teaching me that I should not be worried about money, things I need for the trip, or even other preparations.
But that I need to first focus on the spiritual preparation of seeking HIM first.
Seeking his heart. Seeking his will. Seeking his calling.

I thought that the biggest thing God would be teaching me was how to trust to see Him provide. But rather He is teaching me how to seek Him first.
Because its when I seek him first that everything I ever needed will be provided. The "added too" part will finally happen in my life.
I wish I could say that a financial miracle broke through the moment I had this realization. but honestly, I think God rather have no financial breakthrough happen today. So that a spiritual breakthrough can take place instead.
