This month I have learned
a lot about prayer.  We have
experienced a lot of road trips in the pastor’s van…and it is during these
drives that we are often asked to pray while we drive by houses, schools,
churches, temples, jails, colleges, and even people.

We simply will be riding
along and pastor will say, “Okay all of you pray for this persons house and
family on the right. All of you pray and one person close.”

We end up praying for
several different things along our two-hour or so drive to our next ministry
site.  A lot of times I feel caught
off guard when he asks for us to pray.
I am sitting there with my headphones in jammin’ out to Hillsong or Kari
Jobe.  And then I hear the pastor’s
voice break through the sound barrier. “Okay pray!”

Oh crap! Ok!

Ummmm?!

“Dear God help this
school, uhhh. I don’t know what goes on there, but I pray your presence is
there……..”

Let’s just say I have
learned a new meaning to “pray without ceasing
“. 1 Thess. 5:17

I
have learned the importance of claiming land, people, families, schools,
prisons, and temples for Christ.

I
have learned to proclaim authority over other temples and gods. And
proclaim Jesus Christ as the one true God.

I
have learned to look beyond the temporary and proclaim the land to be
redeemed by God
.

I also have learned how to
take every extra or free moment to pray.
I have now spent these car rides praying for my family and future
husband.

I challenge you to do your
own drive by shooting with the ammunition of prayer.  Pull out those big guns when you drive by strip joints,
schools, bars, churches, businesses, government buildings, and people’s houses.

Claim them for Christ!

Who knows….the big guy
upstairs might actually answer
