Lately
God has been teaching me a lot about “Glory“.
The
Bible constantly talks about giving God glory through everything.

“Whatever you do,
do all to the glory of God.” 1
Corinthians 10:31
If
you really think about it….when you received salvation, you signed up to living
your life for His glory.
Many
times I struggle with this idea.
To
think that in:
Every
day
Every
moment
Every
conversation
Every
relationship
Every
church service
Every
dream
Every
action
Every
second
I
am supposed to bring Him glory.
How
many times in our day do we ask ourselves…
God what will bring
you the most glory in this situation?
I
think it is hard for us to ask this question because most of the time it
requires us to sacrifice our
desires, our comfort, our dreams, ourselves.
Many
times we sit on the throne of our lives and proclaim how good we are, how we can do this well, or have
succeeded in this or that.
But
how many times have we asked God, “Please show me your glory.” Exodus 33:18
Instead
of seeking our own glory…we should desire to see His glory take place in our
lives.

If
you are like me, it’s a constant struggle. I remember when I was thinking about the world race. My flesh cried out and said no, because
I did not want to give up so much.
It was too big of a sacrifice.
How could God ask me to
sacrifice my dreams, my comfort, my home, my family, my job, and my possessions
for 11 months?
I
had my life planned. I had my
pursuit to fame and glory all set up.
But God brought me back to the point of surrender and reminded me of
when I first accepted salvation.
In that moment I said, “God, I am not living for me anymore, all I want is you.” I decided to live
for His glory. I got off the throne of my life and asked Him to be seated. I
bragged about how good He was, how He does everything well, how He has
succeeded on the throne of my life.
Today,
no matter how hard it is, ask God….
How can I bring you the most glory?
