I know that I haven’t written in a while. Life has been crazy and unexpected. I thought my life on the world race would be challenging, but I never anticipated the challenges I would be facing at home.
**Please continue reading because you are a vital part of my story.
On March 9th, my brother Luke was injured in a serious car accident. The fear I felt when I heard of Luke’s accident was something I never experienced before. The sovereignty of God became so real in my life. The doctor’s said they didn’t think he would make it. He had serious head trauma and spinal injuries. Three weeks of tears, stress, and prayers ended with Luke leaving to go to rehab. A miracle. An answer to prayer.
I remember leaving the world race and wondering what to do next. Many of my squad mates were already off to their next adventure even before stepping off the plane. God also placed a dream in my heart to start a music worship school in El Salvador. So why come home? Why wait to go?
Because God knew. He knew that Luke would get in an accident. He knew that I needed to be here.
Now that Luke has returned home and is in recovery, I feel free to leave again. I am excited and nervous to announce that I will be going back to El Salvador for two weeks in July 16th. Not only that, but the pastor has decided to start a music school! The exact dream that I had, God has already started without me!
The thing is, this was never my dream, this was always God’s dream.
The school has five teachers and thirty students. They plan on launching the program while I am there. The classes will be given for free since the community is very poor. There will be five different instruments taught: piano, guitar, bass, drums, and voice.
The vision of this ministry is to bring the youth back into the church through music. El Salvador is known for its music, but the youth have strayed away from Christian music. We want to stir the hearts of the youth to return to God through using the power of music.
This is where I need you. The school is in need of several of instruments and materials. I am raising money for the school so we can buy the instruments before it opens. Please pray to see if God leads you to pour into this ministry.
I said to you; you are My servant. I have chosen you and not rejected you. Do not fear for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you: I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.
