One of the questions in the journal we got at launch simply asks “What am I thankful for?” As I answer that question sitting here on my bed after completing the first of 11 months of ministry, I come to the realization that I have a TON of things to be thankful for.

I am thankful for my teammates and the way we are able to further the Kingdom together. We work incredibly well together to accomplish the good works that have been prepared for us.

I am thankful for postcard worthy sunsets and that I get to witness them firsthand.

I am thankful for the way our team is able to sharpen each other. There are few people who I know that can call me up and out the way these ladies can.

I am thankful that the Father never stops asking us to grow. He is continually drawing me to Himself and that is a beautiful thing.

I am thankful for fans.

I am thankful for the Lord’s gentleness. He asks us to grow, draws us to Himself but isn’t pushy or aggressive in doing so.

I am thankful for the beautiful smiles we see all around us here in the Philippines.

I am thankful for hands that are held out to each other and up toward the Father, reaching for all that is good.

I am thankful for Jesus’ relentless love toward me so that I might show others that same love.

I am thankful that I have a body that is capable of doing what I need it to so I can be of service.

I am thankful for the ocean and sandcastles.
