When I was a little, the kids in my neighborhood would act out the Christmas story for our parents: bathrobes, and towels for costumes and a baby doll for Jesus. It was a big production in our little circle of friends.
Last week Team Zion was able to present the story of Christmas in a similar fashion. Our audience was composed of an English class longing to learn the true meaning of this “Western” holiday. It was a deep honor and a joyful event to tell of the birth of our Savior; to explain from the beginning, God’s elaborate plan to save His creation.
For me it was incredible to share this story to ears that have never heard it before. A story I can recite by heart was captivating our new friends. In fact their joy and freshness to this ancient story reminded me of the importance and magnitude of the events that night. The power of a teenage mother holding her brand new baby boy on a cold night in a strange little stable with angels outside filling the sky with praises to this new born king.

This year as you celebrate the Birth of Jesus, listen to the story as if you have never heard it before.
“Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rest.”
Happy Birthday Jesus!
