God is so good at meeting our needs at the exact right timing. This has happened to me over the past two days. All I could think about yesterday was how I wasn’t doing enough when it came to fundraising, praying over the situation, worrying over the situation, having some internal bullying sessions with myself on how I could do this life and fundraising thing “better,” and just feeling down about the entire thing. Until 7:30 PM last night, when I got a text message from a precious friend who says she and her husband want to support me monthly and asking how best to go about that!
I was blown away… by their willingness and God’s timing! Jla didn’t know I needed her at that moment, but God did! And then, to top things off I got a big check from a family member in the mail today! It was another needed reminder of the truth that “God provides!” So, today was a beautiful day. I got to go to church and praise Him for these blessings, fun weekends with friends, special dinners with family, and amazing people who love God and love people enough to make a financial sacrifice to give to my World Race!
So, in honor of this weekend’s events, I jammed out to my “GO!” playlist this afternoon. And one of my favorites really got to me: it made me cry and dance around this afternoon! This song, FOLLOW YOU by Ben Rector, alongside Oceans, are my anthems during this season of the World Race. Have a listen, and get in some dancin’ too! Our God is so good, and this song is such a wonderful reminder of what He offers us, what he has given me this weekend and quite frankly what he gives us every day if I am just willing to look for it and give “it” all over to Him!
