Thailand, formerly known as the Kingdom of Siam and made famous by the Broadway musical “The King and I”.  Historically, it has not been marked with imperialist rule and has for a long time been a peaceful and steady nation within the region, but recently many of you know it has made major world headlines because of government unrest.  It is a popular destination for many because of its stunning beaches and overall natural beauty, but unfortunately it is also a popular destination for a much darker, evil reason: sex trafficking.

Though a country of beautiful scenery, it is a nation that is utterly lost. I have spent a few days in Bangkok, and was rattled by the spiritual darkness, the chaos, and the amount and magnitude of their idols– the jade buddha, the laying buddha, the gods for each day of the week. It was confusing, overwhelming, and more than anything depressing.  I look forward to returning to this nation of beautiful places and faces, and sharing with them the joy and FREEDOM that comes through Jesus Christ.
Please pray that Kingdom workers will rise up within this nation who are passionate about sharing the Hope they have in Him!  Please pray for the men caught up in sexual sin, whether tourist or local, and for the women and children who are tethered to bars and who have no hope. Pray that Racers will be able to befriend and show the love of Christ to these people, and they will want that “thing” that makes us different!  Please pray for open hearts and minds!
