LEON, NICARAGUA
I admire the man who stared up an active volcano and thought: “I bet I could ride a fridge down that”… Fortunately I rode sitting down on a wooden toboggan, made of metal and Formica-reinforced plywood.
This adventure of a lifetime is rated #2 on CNN’s thrill seekers bucket list. Only behind copiloting a Russian fighter jet for a mere $80,000. I’ll gladly take #2 for my $27usd.
My entire World Race squad of 55 plus a few friends rode nearly an hour in an open air monster Mercedes Benz truck, hiked over an hour up the side of this active volcano and as an added bonus we got to experience torrential downpour/ the beginning of glory coming while wearing prison orange jump suits…. that part was totally FREE! As you can see in this video this extreme sport is not for the faint of heart. Also the only way down…. is to board!

Then I heard the voice of The Lord saying,
“whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. SEND ME!”
