“Who do you want to be in 11 months?”
This was the question presented to us before we left for a retreat this weekend, and this is what kept running through my mind during the bus trip, throughout a hike up a mountain, and as I enjoyed the beauty around me at Lake Atitlan. Honestly, I hadn’t thought about this. I knew I wanted to change, to become more Christ-like, to learn to love. But Seth’s question challenged me to think through who I want to be, so I can work toward that, so I can live life on purpose.
So, in 11 months, I want to be:
- Seeking God in every decision, big and small.
- A servant to those around me, putting their needs before my own.
- Bold in my witnessing.
- A prayer warrior.
- Able to face my fears and put aside worry.
- Open to feedback and change, accepting feedback I’m given, taking it to heart, and becoming more Christ-like as a result.
- Loving to the “unlovable” and “unwanted.”
- Willing to voice my opinion and be myself.
- Brave enough to try new things.
- Fully of joy, shining Christ’s light each time I enter a room.
- In shape and exercising regularly. 🙂
