I’m sitting in a hotel room in Chicago thinking that this will probably be the last time I am truly alone for a very long time. Saying goodbye to my family on Wednesday seems like weeks ago and I feel like I have been in Chicago for much longer than two days. The past two days have been a whirlwind of emotions and ups and downs. If you read my last post, the emotions are pretty much all still there and still very real; however, God is slowly reminding me that I need to release these emotions and trust Him completely!
My parents are amazing- the best in the world! They have spent the past month (or two or the whole summer) helping me prepare for this trip. They have bought supplies for me so that they could prepare me as much as possible. They have been nothing but encouraging the whole time, reminding me that I need to follow God’s plan and since this is what God has called me to do, this is what I need to do. I have been overwhelmed by everything they have done for me. It has made it SO hard to leave because I have been so blessed. But last night, I was reminded the God loves me MORE! And I think, how is that even possible? And as much as they want for me to experience everything He has for me and as much as they want me to be safe and us much as they want the best for me, God wants it even more! I am just completely overwhelmed by that thought!
So incredibly blessed by my amazing parents! I am going to miss them, but I know that God has great things in store for them this year too!

Prayer requests:
- Pray for my squad as we fly out to Guatemala TOMORROW!
- Pray for the hearts of the people we will be ministering to in Guatemala to be open and ready for seeds to be planted.
- Pray that I can fully rely on God for strength and peace.
- Pray that homesickness (which I am already feeling) will not affect ministry or relationship with my team, but will help me be more open with them.
- Pray for my family, who I have been incredibly blessed through and love me so incredibly much, that they would see God work in amazing ways this year and that He would also give them peace.
