We could hear the shouts of "Mzungu, mzungu"  (white person) as soon as we pulled into the church driveway. The children's smiles stretched from ear to ear, their eyes shining. They gathered around the van before the Pastor even shut the engine off and  as  we opened the door, one of the little ones climbed  into the van and onto the lap of one of my squad mates. We were wrapped in hugs as soon as we climbed out of the van.

This scene replays in my mind each time we pull up to the church, reminding me of how precious these children are! I am so blessed to get to spend this month with these adorable children!

This month, we are partnering with a church, attending and leading Bible studies, giving testimonies and helping with the music at church, planning and leading children's programs, doing manual labor (attempting to "fix" the extremely bumpy church driveway), and visiting church members to encourage and pray for them.

It's hard to believe this month is already coming to an end and we will soon be saying "goodbye" to our new friends! But, we still have three more days left and I'm looking forward to every moment!
