I didn’t want to be on an all-girls team.
So, when they announced teams and I found out that- guess what!- I’m on an all-girls team, I definitely wasn’t thrilled. After the initial disappointment, I thought, “Oh well. A lot of teams change, so hopefully I’ll be put on a co-ed team in a couple months. I’ll just grin and bear it through the first couple months.”
Those were my feelings a month ago.
Today, I LOVE MY TEAM!
The longer I am with these amazing women, the more I know that God handpicked our team and I am so glad I am on an all-girls team.

Allyson is our incredible team leader. She loves each of us and seeks to serve us. I am so blessed already by her encouragement and support. Allyson is optimistic and upbeat. Her enthusiasm for life and for this race rubs off on all of us. Allyson possesses a Christ-like love that is so rare, a love that helps her love the least of these, a love that causes her to give away the shoes off her feet. Allyson came well-prepared and brought everything she’s needed so far!
Liz Ogletree

Liz is my comic relief. She is guaranteed to make me laugh when I need it. But that is just one of Liz’s many sides and I so appreciate her serious, honest side and her willingness to be open. Liz is also our team nurse, which probably either means we’ll have the sickest team because we have the nurse right there to help us out, or we’ll have the healthiest team, because she’s there to keep us on track. The one item she wishes she brought is her electric toothbrush.
Jessa Grindell

Jessa is in love with Jesus and has a contagious desire to grow in Him. I love Jessa’s fun and creative side, from her culinary creativity to her artsy side to her fun and games planning. Jessa always has a suggestion of something fun to do to fill time and is FULL of creative games to play and crafts to do. Her deep desire to know the Lord with all her heart has encouraged me in my relationship with Christ. The one item Jessa wishes she brought, but didn’t is her chair.
Natasha Firooznia

Natasha is patient, kind, and a GREAT listener. I am so thankful for Natasha's encouragement and am incredibly blessed by her. She seeks to serve others and cares so much about them. Natasha is a safe place and is easy to talk to. I love how she can lift my spirits and remind me to be thankful in each and every circumstance. The one item she wishes she brought, but didn’t is either more v-neck t-shirts or more journals.
Jenni Masters

Jenni is strong and brave. She is the rock in the group. I love her adventurous spirit and look forward to all the fun things she will encourage our group to do. I loved seeing her with the kids last month, as she has an amazing gift in connecting with them. Jenni is content with what she brought and can’t think of anything she wishes she had!
These are the incredible women that I am honored to learn from, grow with, and serve with. I am so blessed!
