Miracles come in ways we would never even expect. My niece, Mira Joy is a miracle and here is just a part of her story:
My brother and sister-in-law received a call on Christmas Eve, 2009, from Taiwan saying they had been matched with a baby to adopt. She was beautiful and we all loved her instantly, even just from the few pictures Matt and Chrissy received. The process with Kaili went smoothly, the court date went well, and they were due to travel any day. And then the news came….. the following is from one of their blog posts:
For those of you who don't know, Kaili (the little girl we were adopting) was offically taken back by her birth mother two weeks before we were going to get her . It was hard but we have felt peace through it thanks to everyones' prayers!
Anyway, the orphanage said that it would be a miracle for us to get Kaili back so Matt started praying for a Miracle :). And although it wasn't getting Kaili back, God has brought us a miracle in the form of a new baby! The orphanage said that usually the wait is much longer but their just happened to be a one month old baby girl in the orphanage that had not been given to anyone. It was scary saying yes, and we had so many emotions of sadness and joy at the same time but we did say yes!
We named her Mira Joy McCloskey.
Mira was born at 7:18 on March 25.
She was 8 lbs 4 oz (A Whopper according to the orphanage staff :)) and 20 inches long.
All we know about her so far is that she is quiet and cuddly.
In August, Mira was officially adopted and has been a miracle, not only for Matt and Chrissy, but our whole family. God knew that Mira was a perfect fit!
