Month 3! I can’t believe it is already March…only 9 months left! Time is flying bye…but in that time, He is teaching me so much!
Month 3 will continue in that pattern. This month for our team is going to be Unsung Heroes! What is Unsung Heroes (UH)? This is where we will ask the Lord to guide and direct us to find people who are heroes in the ministry but are ‘unsung’ because they aren’t widely known or partnered with another organization. Our team is on a mission to seek out these heroes as contacts for future trips by AIM (not just the World Race teams).
I was selected as the Unsung Heroes Coordinator. With this role, I will lead my team with ministry this month. I will be in charge of contacting and meeting with each potential future ministry. I will also be the go-between the offices in the States and my team. Jen, the elected administrator, will review documentation and submit that information to the office. Victoria will be in charge of our team’s lodging for this month—coordinating with hostels and ministry contacts. Huong will be calling and setting up transportation needs (taxis, buses, etc.) Debbie will research ministry contacts and then sharing this information with the team as we pursue new contacts.
This month is all about listening to the Lord for His direction. Praying for divine appointments. Praying for new contacts. Praying for our eyes and hearts be open to receive His words.
*Yesterday was our first day of “ministry.” That morning after praying with Steph, our team leader, I felt the Lord tell me to be ready this afternoon for a divine appointment. However, I expected myself to be there and experience it. He asked me to stay back and spend time with Him; so I trusted His hand would move with my teammates that went out. And….(this shouldn’t be a surprise) He answered and brought the divine appointment.
They met an English club in the middle of the park on their walk back home. They were able to sit down and talk with the leaders and participants. This is our first lead in the city to pursue as a potential ministry.
Praise the Lord for His faithfulness and His great plan for our team this month. Continue to pray for more divine appointments—expected or unexpected! Ask the Lord to grow our ears, eyes and hearts to hear, see and respond to His call!
*Another God moment was at the bakery. Victoria wanted to bless a man in the bakery with a physical act of God’s love (with coffee and cake). Then later that day, Debbie and I saw him at a market, but we didn’t speak. After dinner on the walk home, I saw him sitting at a coffee shop. Debbie decided to talk to him because we knew God wouldn’t have us cross paths with him several times in one day. Debbie was able to have an opportunity to pray over him, and then another girl at the coffee shop prayed over Debbie and VP because she overheard their conversation. These divine appointments excite our faith and journey in our relationship with the Lord!
*God has provided several contacts already! We will be pursuing these contacts over the next few days. Be praying for these meetings and how we can encourage their ministries. Pray for wisdom as we process the ministries into being possible contacts with AIM.
