I believe that we oftentimes sell our lives short of what the Lord can provide. However, if we pray (even outlandish prayers-oh so we think), He WILL answer, we only need to wait for His timing.
When I began this whole process I prayed that the Lord would affirm, confirm and reaffirm that this was the step of obedience He had called me too. I also prayed that I would be fully funded (all $16243) by January 1st.
Well…guess what? The Lord did BOTH of those things in just under 6 months! He has used little details and big details, little donations and big donations to bring me to the point I’m at today…ready to follow through with obedience for this trip without worrying about the need for funds or whether this trip is what God desires for me to do. He has abundantly blessed me (over and over and over and over again) and I pray that it has impacted many around me that have shared in this journey too.
I am blown away. The Lord allowed so many neat details to fall into place that brought me to this feeling of peace and assurance. I know that this feeling will help carry me throughout the tough times that lay ahead over the next 11 months. His faithfulness continues to shake me. I cannot comprehend the greatness of His faithfulness, but I have witnessed it time and time again. I’m ever so thankful for His sovereignty and provision.
