ATL: Ask the Lord (January 20, 2015)

*Our team had these visions:

Color: Green White Blue                 Place: 2nd Temple from sight seeing

                        Dark                            Ailment: eyes

Thing: Lamp post                              Person: Lady with veil (not Western)

Other: green grass, spinning object

As we stood across the street from the temple, we instantly noticed the color scheme. I had specifically noticed the colors in that certain order. On the left there were trees, on the right the building had a bright blue roof, the sky was white with clouds, and the darkness was the temple.

We slowly walked through the temple grounds looking for the next clue and leading from the Lord. He took us to this patio overlooking the river. It was an interesting viewpoint. We were able to see the people releasing animals as offerings.

Stephanie pointed out that this act could be redeemed for Christ. It could parallel to the freedom from sin like the animals experience the freedom from their cages.

The Lord spoke to me through the wind. The wind was nice and easy, relaxing. I was reminded that He can breathe life into this place. He can breathe purpose and meaning, HOPE into the temple.

Debbie was led to Habbakuk 2:2-3 “Then the Lord replied: Write down this revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” (We rest in the truth that He will redeem and restore the hearts of these people).

Then led to Matthew 6:22-23 “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness.” (This connects to the ailment of eyes, and relates to the color of white and dark).

Jenn was standing away from the patio praying when she saw a lady with a veil on walking down to the water’s edge, yet another clue that was provided for our time at the temple.

As we were leaving, we walked on the other side of the temple. It was an unique experience for me. I was praying for the Spirit to move through the temple grounds—as I spoke those words, some clattering happened inside of the temple. Then just past the temple at the statues there was a dead bird lying next to the dragon. I found this intriguing because it reminded me of the path of these hearts, death is looming. But His presence and love is greater.

Our last step during this ATL, we stopped by the booth where you can buy the animals to release. The man explained the meaning of each animal.

Eel: release for smoothness in work and studies

Catfish: release if you have enemies attacking you

Fish: release if you have a hurt (buy larger fish for larger hurts)

Pigeon: release for good luck and happiness

Frog: release because your past lives are bad

Snail: release to get rid of bad luck.

As our team reflected on our ATL, we decided that this experience was all about learning and observing. We were able to have our eyes opened to why the people do what they do and how it can be redeemed. We were able to pray over the temple grounds and for the hearts of the people.

Prayers: Redemption. Pray that the Lord’s wooing and pursuit would continue to flood their hearts. Pray that as they seek for more that they find fulfillment and satisfaction in the LOVE of the Lord.
